Hello, I'm not sure if I'm putting this in the right place so I apologise in advance if I have! I wondered if anyone out there had experience of using their blue badge in America? I'm due to visit my sister in L.A. in September and wanted to know if it's possible to use the badge out there? Is it even accepted there? Any tips would be gratefully received....many thanks.....Allison

Hi Allison

Straight from the book!

"You can use your badge when travelling in the European Union but concessions do vary. .... There are no current arrangements for you to use the badge outside the European Union, in countries such as the USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand, although they may be prepared to recognise the Blue Badge."

Have a look at this it might be of some help! Also this page for California.

Hope you get some luck with it ThumpUp

Hi Alison,

I took my blue badge with me on holiday to South Africa a couple of years ago. Not the USA, I know but I found all the parking attendents were only to happy to honour my blue badge. I think someone has to be pretty heartless to reject one!
